Charlie and Nathan were interviewed by STV News for a feature on how advanced therapies are offering new hope for people living with ulcerative colitis based on our work published in Alimentary Pharmacology and Therapeutics
The story highlights the experience of Emma Jamie, whose symptoms improved dramatically after starting an advanced therapy, and places her story alongside our new research showing that surgery rates for ulcerative colitis have fallen substantially in Lothian over the past two decades as access to advanced therapies expanded. Charlie explained that the findings reflect the major impact biologic and small-molecule medicines have had on outcomes that matter to patients.
